Before the opening of Pilar Akaneya in Madrid, Chiho Murata (owner of the Akaneya Group family restaurants) showed her husband Ignasi Elias an article about Matsusaka Beef, and he was amazed because it was the first time he had heard of it. Chiho Murata's uncle told her that in Mie, a Japanese city, there was a farm called Ito Ranch, which had won the prize for the best beef multiple times. At the same time, Hiroki Ito, the owner of the Japanese farm Ito Ranch, discovered Chiho Murata through a report on the public television channel NHK about Crown Melon, a highly exclusive Japanese product for which Murata was the European ambassador. After making contact and a beautiful friendship blossoming, Hiroki Ito authorized Akaneya France to become their partner and export "Matsusaka Beef." What's even more curious is that Murata only revealed the second reason for Hiroki's decision: the French appreciation for Japanese beef. The first reason remains a mystery.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the Akaneya Group hosted a series of captivating events across its three European cities, home to their restaurants..

The event had the presence of Hiroki Ito himself, alongside representatives from the Embassy of Japan in France.
