In May 2023, the Akaneya Group proudly opened a new restaurant, Marie Akaneya. It marks the first Japanese Sumibiyaki restaurant in France, as well as the first authorized restaurant to offer Matsusaka Beef, a highly acclaimed and exclusive beef sourced from the Ito Ranch in Japan. Additionally, it solidifies its position as the third restaurant to offer Crown Melon, following Pilar Akaneya and Carlota Akaneya in Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

Following the success of their other two restaurants in Spain, the search for a location in France was the new venture for Ignasi Elias and Chiho Murata. Finally, one day, Jordi Rivera, Chiho Murata's right-hand person, informed her that they had found a location in Paris near the Madeleine, and the dream was becoming a reality.

Marie Akaneya manages to create an unparalleled atmosphere through all its elements. Rice paper lanterns as decoration and Jazz music, a favorite among Japanese chefs, set the ambiance that makes you forget the notion of time. From the moment you step on the restaurant's cobblestones and pass through the sliding doors, you are enveloped in a tranquility that transports you directly to Japan.

Thanks to the simplicity of the dishes, the quality of the ingredients, the combination of flavors and textures in its recipes, and the creativity and spontaneity of its menus, Marie Akaneya succeeds in creating an unforgettable experience for anyone daring enough to enter its doors.

Description and context

Following the experience with Carlota Akaneya and a decade of reputation, along with the opening of Pilar Akaneya, our team worked closely with the Paris team to announce the restaurant's grand opening. The goal was nothing less than to solidify Marie Akaneya's image and maintain the esteemed status of the group. Additionally, we organized a triple event that took place in September 2023, starting with this Parisian-Japanese Sumibiyaki restaurant.
